A review of the diagnosis and management of common malignancies is beyond the scope of this rotation guide. Most oncologic diagnoses and treatment decisions are made in the outpatient setting. Therefore, the topics covered in this guide represent the most commonly encountered aspects of inpatient oncology, including complications of disease and therapy.
